Your journey to looking and feeling like yourself starts with a simple conversation. We're ready when you are.

What Is A Hair System

A hair system is a customized, non-surgical hair replacement solution designed to blend naturally with your existing hair. It is made with carefully selected hair and a base that is customized to your individual needs, including your hair color, density, texture, wave pattern, and desired style. Unlike a traditional wig, a properly fitted hair system is designed specifically for you and can provide coverage where you are experiencing thinning or hair loss while allowing you to maintain a natural-looking hairstyle.

At Transitions of Wisconsin, we take the time to understand your hair loss and personal goals before recommending a solution. During a private, complimentary consultation, we evaluate your hair and scalp and discuss the options available to you. Our goal is to create a natural-looking result that helps you feel comfortable, confident, and like yourself again.

What Is Scalp Revitalization

Transitions of Wisconsin offers a well-rounded, easy to use topical hair loss treatment program which can be used in the privacy of their own home. It includes a suite of products created by doctors and hair loss treatment specialists containing tested growth activators and hair nutritionals consisting of special supplements and topical treatment products, including anti-androgenetic DHT blockers, that have been proven to be effective when used in conjunction with monitored in-studio treatment programs or home laser hair therapy treatment.

What Is Laser Hair Therapy

Laser Hair Therapy (LHT) is a non-invasive, FDA approved safe treatment for androgenetic alopecia (hereditary pattern baldness). It is used to treat hair loss, thinning hair, and scalp problems in men and women of all ages and hair types. Laser Hair Therapy has been clinically tested for effectiveness and is FDA-approved safe.

Hair Replacement
Costs

This is a difficult question to answer without seeing you in person. Everyone is different, and the right solution depends on your individual hair loss, hair and scalp condition, and personal needs.

That is exactly why we offer a private, complimentary consultation. During your visit, we can take a closer look at your hair and scalp, discuss your concerns, and explain the options that may be right for you. Our goal is to help you understand your choices so you can make an informed decision.

Most importantly, there is no pressure to make a decision that day. We want you to have the time and space to go home, think about what you have learned, and decide what feels right for you—whether that means moving forward and becoming part of the Transitions of Wisconsin family or simply taking some time to think things over. We are here whenever you are ready.

Attachment Options

We offer clips(a daily option), tape(1 to 5 day option), fusion(3 to 5 week option) or bond(3 to 5 week option). These are approximate time frames for the attachments. It all depends on your lifestyle, i.e. if you workout or play spots were you sweat a lot.

How Often Does A Hair System Need Maintenance

Most hair systems need a professional maintenance appointment approximately every 3–4 weeks. The exact timing can vary depending on your hair growth, scalp, lifestyle, attachment method, and the type of hair system you wear.

During a maintenance appointment, your stylist can remove and clean the system and scalp, address any necessary adjustments, and properly reattach and style the system. Regular maintenance is important for keeping your hair system looking natural, comfortable, and secure while also helping to maintain the health of your natural hair and scalp.

Your Transitions of Wisconsin stylist will work with you to determine the maintenance schedule that best fits your individual needs and hair system.

How Long Does A Hair Replacement Appointment Take

The length of a hair system appointment depends on the type of service you are receiving. A routine maintenance appointment may take approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour, while a more detailed service may take longer.

For a new hair system, your initial cut-in appointment typically takes approximately 2–3 hours. This allows your stylist enough time to properly fit, cut, blend, and style the system so it looks natural and complements your existing hair.

We believe in taking the time needed to do the job properly. Transitions will not compromise quality for speed. Your stylist will make sure you are comfortable and satisfied with the finished result before you leave.

Can I Shower With A Hair System

Yes, you should wash your hair system every day to every other day, depending on your lifestyle and individual needs. Regular washing helps remove oils, sweat, and product buildup from the hair and scalp.

Oily buildup is especially important to manage because it can affect the hair system and loosen the knots that secure the hair to the base, causing the hair to shed or fall out prematurely. Keeping your hair system clean and properly conditioned can help maintain its appearance and extend its longevity.

Your Transitions of Wisconsin care team can recommend the appropriate shampoo, conditioner, and at-home care routine for your specific hair system. Following the proper care instructions is an important part of keeping your hair system looking and feeling its best.

How Often Should I Be Washing My Own Hair

You should be washing your hair every day to every other day to help eliminate oily build-up on the scalp. The oily build-up can clog the pores and create an unhealthy environment for the hair to grow.

What Shampoo Should I Use For Scalp Issues

Everyone's skin is different and the chemicals in shampoo can have a negative effect on the scalp. We suggest that  you come in so we can see if you have a dry scalp, oily scalp, or a variation.
Then we can suggest the best product for your hair and scalp.
