Researchers have identified the main cause of baldness and
hair loss. Andro-genetic is the key word, as 95% of hair loss is andro-genetically
based; 5% have other
causes. An andro-genetic problem occurs inside the hair follicle
whenever the male hormone testosterone comes in contact with a
protein and is transformed into (DHT) dihydro-testosterone, which is sebogenic. A sebogenic element
creates
seborrhea, whereby grease and scales solidify into a deposit or
build-up, inhibiting the growth of a new hair follicle of a
size comparable to the one it replaces.
What is Hair Hygiene?
Essentially, the scalp has
many sebaceous and sudoriferous (sweat) glands. There are many of

further hair loss. In essence, the Micro-Projector assists the
hygienist in effectively evaluating the super-papillary (or the hair
